A short history
The shrine’s account links its origin to the kami’s descent on Koyama and records shrine construction in 677. The descent is presented as religious tradition.
Before you go
Budget bus travel separately from time in the grounds. Early access through the second torii does not mean the Romon gate or counter is open. Confirm special-worship availability before planning around it.
