A short history
The present hall was rebuilt in 1818 and preserves a form shaped by the mountains’ religious traditions. It is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. The three mountains have a history of both kami worship and Buddhist mountain practice.
Before you go
This entry is the Haguro summit hall, not a visit to all three mountain sites. Snow, steep approaches and seasonal transport require planning. Specific blessing filters are left unassigned until a reliable prayer-category source is confirmed.
