A short history

The shrine preserves traditions about Okibitsuhiko; these do not establish a precise foundation year. The current main sanctuary was built in 1697 under the Okayama domain lord Ikeda Tsunamasa.

Before you go

Similar names do not make Kibitsu and Kibitsuhiko the same destination. If visiting both, plan the journey between them separately.
